A Fragile Ceasefire, Syria’s Downfall and the Axis of Resistance: Why the War Will Continue Until the US-Israel Alliance Is Forced Out of the Middle East

The Middle East is on the verge of total war despite recent developments involving a fragile ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas and the collapse of the Assad government in Syria last month which is now occupied by terrorists, so 2025 seems like its going to be a turbulent year with the transition from the Biden’s criminal cabal to the incoming Trump regime.

Both President Joe Biden and President-Elect Donald Trump claimed credit for ending Israel’s genocidal war that has killed more than 64,000 Palestinians to date. But don’t get your hopes up too high because the new ceasefire deal will not last. What will most likely happen after Trump’s inauguration is that Israel will somehow violate the ceasefire agreement and strike alleged Hamas targets. It is certain that Hamas would retaliate which would allow Trump to give Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu the green light to respond in any way he sees fit and then the world will witness once again another war.

Yes, a ceasefire is welcome among the Palestinians and the world, but as a reminder, it’s just a ceasefire, not a permanent end to the war. Israel’s project to expand its territories has just been halted temporarily. The Israelis want to get rid of the people of Gaza and the West Bank basically forever, they want this war to go on until their dream for the Greater Israel has been accomplished.

And yes, Trump did push Israel to accept a ceasefire to show his MAGA base that he can make a deal for peace, but that is just window dressing. Once Israel violates the ceasefire, then the Trump regime will blame Hamas and say, “you see, we tried to bring peace to the Middle East, but Hamas is the one who really wants this war” then the IDF will pick up from where they left off and continue their war of genocide.

It has been reported that the deal seems not to be finalized in the inner political circles in Tel Aviv according to the Times of Israel who claimed that top Israeli officials have not officially declared a ceasefire-hostage release deal with Hamas, the Prime Minister’s office released a statement “accusing Hamas of backing out of some agreements and creating a “crisis” in finalizing the deal,” but “most Israeli officials indicated the agreement was all but a done deal” the report said.

It may sound pessimistic, but it will be fair to say that the new ceasefire deal is fragile and will only be a temporary remedy. The Palestinian resistance knows that deep in their hearts that peace is unachievable and will be ready to continue their fight once Israel reignites the next conflict. Israel wants to finish this war and acquire all of the remaining Palestinian territories, because that’s the end goal and Trump will do nothing to stop it. Trump will only add to the problem the same way he did in his first term as president by moving the US embassy to Jerusalem which angered the Palestinians and most of the Muslim world.

Syria’s Downfall Orchestrated by the US-Israel Alliance and Turkey

Since the downfall of Syria, many in the mainstream media who are considered geopolitical analysts whether independent or not, even a handful who are in the alternative media including Scott Ritter, the former US Marine and UN weapons inspector who said that the Axis of Resistance has been defeated, but they are all wrong.

However, the truth is that the resistance has not been defeated, in fact, it got stronger, and I will explain why shortly.

Syria’s collapse was due to US-Israeli backed terrorists from Al-Qaeda, the Islamic State (ISIS) and the al-Nusra front who now called themselves Hayat Tahrir Al Sham (HTS) which is led by Abu Mohammad al-Julani who at one time had a $10 million bounty on his head by the US government, but since Syria’s collapse, they canceled his bounty because he is somehow a changed man despite him chopping off people’s heads when he was a member of Al-Qaeda’s branch in Syria,  Jabhat al-Nusra, but none of that matters. Julani obviously works for Mossad and Western Intelligence agencies along with other terrorist networks including those who work with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and of course, Turkey.

How did Syria’s collapse happen in such a short time? We must remember the constant terrorist attacks against Syria, Iraq, and elsewhere targeting civilians, soldiers and government officials for many years with US and Israeli support including the destruction of heritage sites caused by ISIS during their reign of terror. It all started in 2013 when former US President Barack Obama and his Zionist-backed regime decided to support the Syrian Rebels.

The US based website, military.com published, ‘US To Arm Syrian Rebels’ based on the Obama regime’s decision to support the so-called “Syrian Rebels” (a rather less controversial label other than calling them terrorists) after Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad “allegedly” ordered the use of chemical weapons on the Syrian people which turned out to be a lie, it was the Obama regime who propagandized the world into believing that it was Assad who “used chemical weapons against his own people” it reminds me of when the same Western propaganda accused Saddam Hussein and his government of throwing babies into incubators nonsense that Western audiences bought thus giving blind support to a US invasion of Iraq in 2003:

The United States will provide direct “military support” to the Syrian rebels following U.S. intelligence conclusions that President Bashar al-Assad’s forces have used chemical weapons on a “small scale” in the civil war that has claimed more than 90,000 lives, White House officials said Thursday.

“The president has said that the use of chemical weapons would change his calculus, and it has,” said Ben Rhodes, the deputy National Security Council adviser at the White House. Rhodes said he could not go “through the inventory” of types of military aid that the U.S. will send to the rebel Supreme Military Council of the Free Syrian Army but stressed that the support will be “substantially different” than the humanitarian assistance the U.S. has been providing”

Obama ordered arms to the ‘Free Syrian Army’ after he “reversed course on his long-standing resistance to arming the rebels after the CIA concluded that chemical weapons had been used several times against the rebels in recent months, and because recent gains on the ground by Assad’s forces were made with the support of Hezbollah fighters and Iran, Rhodes said.”  There was a handful of people who were concerned about those weapons falling in the wrong hands especially Al-Qaeda:

Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has repeatedly warned of the risk of arming rebel forces that include Islamist extremist groups with alleged ties to al-Qaida.

But Rhodes said the U.S. believes it has found a reliable and moderate ally in former Syrian Army Gen. Selim Idriss, head of the SMC, and would direct military support to groups in his control

Last November, terrorist attacks in southern Idlib area of Syria was stopped by the Syrian Armed Forces according to the Syria news outlet SANA before it was shut down by HTS, (en.pressbee, net), the Syrian Defense Ministry said that

“Units of forces positioned southern Idleb countryside repelled a terrorist attack launched by armed organizations, leaving heavy losses in equipment and weapons, killing and wounding dozens of terrorists. As they also downed several suicide drones affiliated with terrorists who attempted to attack some military points and several safe villages and towns.”

The statement also said that

“in cooperation with Russian aircraft, targeted terrorists’ sites and fortifications, leaving heavy loses and killing and wounding dozens of them.”

This was a warning sign that US-Israeli backed terrorists were preparing for more future attacks against Assad’s forces.

This was a long-term strategy that started under the Obama regime. The leaked documents from the Pentagon in 2012 exposed the strategy to destabilize Syria and other parts of the Middle East for Israeli interests regarding the Islamic State who was originally known as Al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI):

The Associated Press (AP) reported in 2014 that Netanyahu visited a field hospital in the Golan Heights near the Syrian border,

“Israel’s prime minister met with wounded Syrians treated at an Israeli hospital Tuesday and blamed Iran for bloodshed in neighboring Syria as world powers meet in Vienna for talks over Tehran’s nuclear program”

and the article went on to say that

“Netanyahu met with a wounded Syrian and shook his hand. “We thank you for the treatment and the service. The service is excellent, and they treat you well. People smile. We thank you a lot,” the man said in Arabic. He spoke anonymously fearing retribution in Syria.”No self-respecting Muslim would shake Netanyahu’s hand, but I digress.

Here are some of the key incidents involving terrorist attacks committed by ISIS since their founding that will make you think about what was their purpose in the first place.

According to a paper published in 2013 by the Institute for the Study of War titled Al-Qaeda in Iraq Resurgent: The Breaking the Walls Campaign, Part I said the following:

Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) reached its apex of territorial control and destructive capability in late 2006 and early 2007, before the Surge and the Awakening removed the organization from its safe havens in and around Baghdad.1 Subsequent operations pursued AQI northward through Diyala, Salah ad-Din, and Mosul, degrading the organization over the course of 2007-2008 such that only a fraction of its leaders, functional cells, and terroristic capabilities remained and were concentrated in Mosul.  As of August 2013, AQI has regrouped, regained capabilities, and expanded into areas from which it was expelled during the Surge

One of the largest operations conducted by ISIS that targeted the Muslim world was in June 2014 when they launched a major offensive and captured large territories of Iraq and Syria, including Mosul, which is the second-largest city in Iraq and Tikrit.  This is when ISIS established the caliphate. According to NBC news article from 2014:

An audio recording purportedly from the spokesman for the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant – known as ISIS or ISIL – boasts of the group’s recent successes and urges his fighters to advance on the Iraqi capital.

“Roll up your sleeves of seriousness. Do not give up one span of land that you have liberated,” spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani says. “March to Baghdad… We have a score to settle

And yes, they did march to Bagdad.  But for a “score to settle”?  or for Western powers, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey (whose government under Erdogan wants to be more aligned with Europe than with the Middle East) to control Iraq and Syria’s oil and gas reserves?  ISIS, Al-Qaeda and now the former Al-Nusra front, Hayat Tahrir Al Sham (HTS) all basically work for US and Israeli intelligence agencies.

Syria has collapsed as a nation state, but this does not mean that US-Israel alliance and other western powers such as the UK achieved a victory because the Axis of Resistance will continue its war against Israel and its allies in the West until the Israeli occupation is convincingly defeated once and for all.

The Axis of Resistance in Their Own Words

In Gaza and the West Bank, there is really no choice but to resist the genocidal and illegal occupation. The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) released a message from Hamas according to an article released on December 25th ‘Hamas: Israel’s crimes in W. Bank will not weaken the resistance’s fortitude’ and said that

“The Hamas Movement has affirmed that the Israeli occupation forces’ persistence in their aggressive practices and crimes in the West Bank will never undermine the Palestinian resistance’s fortitude and bravery” according to the statement, “The occupation’s escalation of its assassination policy against resistance fighters, in the midst of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, will not weaken the valiant resistance’s determination and steadfastness.”

Israel’s ongoing genocide of Gaza has energized the Palestinian resistance to become stronger and more determined regardless of Trump’s threats to Hamas for them to release the Israeli hostages or there will be “Hell to Pay” as soon as he takes office and would have given Israel the greenlight to “finish the job.” If the ceasefire fails (which I believe it will), Trump will most likely give all the military aid and political support to Israel just like his predecessor, Joe Biden.

The Iraqi Resistance Has Declared War on Israel

The Palestine Chronicle published an article in late September ‘Iraqi Resistance Drones Attack Israel – In First, Sirens Heard in Bisan’ based on a statement from the Iraqi Resistance:

The Iraqi resistance group said in the statement that the Jordan Valley attack is the latest in a series of five attacks on Sunday “in continuation of our path in resisting the occupation, in support of our people in Gaza

The report said that “The Islamic Resistance vowed to continue its operations “in striking the enemy’s strongholds with increasing intensity,” for their crimes against Palestinian children, women, and the elderly.

Shafaq.com (Shafaq News Agency) published a report back in November titled ‘IRI to proceed strikes on Israel despite ceasefire in Lebanon’ about an official source who said that

“The Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee reached a consensus, on Wednesday, to continue launching attacks on Israel, regardless of the recently declared ceasefire in Lebanon, a senior source in the committee revealed,” according to the report, “The source told Shafaq News, “The agreement to continue operations was reached with the consensus of Harakat al-Nujaba, Kataib Hezbollah, Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada, and Harakat Ansar Allah al-Awfiya, which are part of the so-called Islamic Resistance in Iraq [IRI]. These groups emphasized that operations will continue until Israel’s aggression on Gaza is fully halted. Otherwise, the operations will persist, disregarding any Israeli threats.”

The US and Israel have their hands tied with the Iraqi resistance who has played a major role against Israel who happens to be close to their borders coupled with a few US bases that are still in operation since the fall of Baghdad.

There were several reasons why the US decided to invade Iraq and topple Saddam Hussein’s government since it benefited Israel’s future expansionist plans and the fact that Iraq was going to drop US dollars in favor of the Euro for its oil purchases was another major factor that concerned Washington, plus, Iraq has a significant amount of oil which solidified the decision in the end.

CGTN reported on the rise of a resistance front in Iraq following Israel’s so-called “911”, the Hamas attack on October 7th, 2023 ‘Middle East Insights 2024: Iraq, rise of ‘resistance’ groups and potential U.S. withdrawal,’ which said that “On October 7, 2023, following the announcement of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” by Hamas against Israel, several Shia militia groups in Iraq quickly formed the “Islamic Resistance” to express solidarity with Hamas and pledge multi-front resistance against what they called “Zionist forces.”   These groups have experience fighting US-Israel backed terrorists such as ISIS, “The core of the “Islamic Resistance” is Iraqi Shia militias such as Kata’ib Hezbollah and Harakat al-Nujaba. These groups, which gained significant combat experience fighting ISIS and later became a critical part of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, enjoy substantial political influence within Iraq.”

Resistance groups in Iraq will fight on behalf of the Palestinian people, and will also fight on behalf of the Iraqi people who has called for US forces to leave the country since the Bush neocons and their Israeli handlers orchestrated an invasion to topple Saddam Hussein and the Bath party.

Hezbollah’s Relentless Fight Against Israel Despite Syria’s Fall

Hezbollah has not been weakened by Syria’s downfall at all, in fact it only has elevated its determination to the next level.  As Hezbollah’s new leader warned in a recent speech

“There is no timetable that specifies the resistance’s work, and our patience is linked to the appropriate timing to confront the enemy,” Qassem said in a speech. “Our patience may run out before or after the 60 days, when we decide to do something that you will see directly.”

“In the past, Israel reached Beirut within days, but in the 2024 aggression, it was unable to advance more than a few hundred meters at the front edge. Israel was unable to advance because the resistance fighters stood firm and stood firm in the face of it” he continued “The enemy was forced to request a ceasefire because of the resistance’s capabilities, and we agreed through the Lebanese state.”

In other words, Hezbollah is ready for a fight at any given moment, they are prepared for the long battle despite what analyst Scott Ritter claimed that

“The offensive against Aleppo initiated by Turkish-allied Islamists from Hayat Tahir Al-Sham (a re-branded Al Qaeda that has made common cause with ISIS) and the US-allied Syrian National Army is the consequence of a strategic plan between the Israelis and Turks, backed by the US, to cut off the supply route from Iran to Lebanon for Hezbollah, and threaten to destabilize/topple the Assad government, forcing Russia to divert resources from Ukraine to salvage their position in Syria.”

Cutting part of the supply route will not disrupt Iran from providing Hezbollah with the necessary weapons in the foreseeable future because they are many routes that have existed for centuries throughout Syria’s borders, so Syria’s downfall does not mean it is the end of the Iran-Hezbollah supply route; there are others, therefore, Hezbollah will continue its fight on their Southern border against Israel for as long as it takes.

The Resistance Grows as Yemen Enters the War Against Israel and Its Western Powers

The resistance in Yemen has been one of the main driving forces who have spoken out in defense of the Palestinian people.  Yemen has produced a formidable resistance against the Israeli regime.  A recent article by The Tehran Times based on Yemen’s relentless fight against Israel’s atrocities against the Palestinian people, ‘Yemen: The endless nightmare of child-killer regime’ also published Yemen’s ‘Statement of Intent’ that said the following:

In their announcement, the Yemeni Armed Forces stated that “triumphing for the oppression of the Palestinian people and their fighters and in response to the massacres against our people in Gaza, and within the fifth stage of the supportive stages in the battle of the Promised Conquest and Holy Battle and within the framework of retaliating to the Israeli, American and British aggression against our country

Yemeni forces have carried out missile strikes on Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport in the Yaffa area with a hypersonic ballistic missile that was named “Palestine 2”, they also carried out another missile attack on a power station in the south of occupied al-Quds with a ‘Zulfiqar ballistic missile’ which was launched at a power station south of occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem).  Then Yemeni forces targeted the U.S. Navy’s ‘USS Harry S. Truman’ aircraft carrier.

The Tehran Times article said that the

“The Yemeni naval force, missile forces, and UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) units launched a large number of drones and cruise missiles at the American aircraft carrier.  According to the statement, this attack occurred as U.S. forces were preparing for an airstrike on Yemen.”

Yemeni forces are preparing for combat readiness to confront ongoing threats from Israeli and American forces.

“The Yemeni Armed Forces, with the help of God Almighty, have completed raising the combat readiness of a number of military units to confront any threats related to the Israeli and American enemy that aim to prevent Yemen from performing its religious, moral, and humanitarian duty towards the Palestinian people.”

The Middle East Is the Ticking Time Bomb

2025 is going to be the year of extremely high tensions.  It’s the start of World War III.  Biden is handing Trump the steering wheel to continue Washington’s support of the Israeli regime with all the weapons it needs to continue its war on the Palestinians and their neighbors.

The Axis of Resistance will continue with determination to defeat the Israel and their Western backers.  The terrorist offensive against Syria was initiated by Turkish-allied Islamists using HTS (which is an absolute betrayal of the Muslim world by Erdogan and his government) and the US-allied ‘Syrian National Army’ which was a strategic plan by the Turks which was most likely backed by the US and Israel in an attempt to cut off the supply route from Iran to Lebanon to rearm Hezbollah, and at the same time, to topple the Assad government in the process.

However, the resistance is still going strong no matter what happened to Syria and in Palestine because they know that the Zionist cabal in Tel Aviv and the US regime in power want a destroyed Middle East region so that they can control and dominate the Muslim world and eventually steal their natural resources.  It also compliments the Zionist regime’s plan to expand its territory for their Greater Israel project.
