Malaysia Forum to discuss possibility of another World War

PETALING JAYA: Is another World War really taking shape? Why will it happen and who will likely be involved?

For answers to these questions and many others, the Perdana Global Peace Organisation is hosting a one-day forum entitled The Middle East Agenda: Oil, Dollar Hegemony and Islam on Thursday at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here.

The speakers during the forum, which is being organised together with the Perdana Leadership Foundation, will be former United Nations Assistants Secretary-Generals Denis Halliday and Hans Von Sponeck, nuclear expert Dr Helen Caldicott, University of Illinois law professor Francis A. Boyle and University of Ottawa economics professor Michel Chossudovsky.

Forum moderator Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir said the speakers would provide an “insight” of the coming nuclear war.

“Participants can expect to listen to never before disclosed information on the Western agenda on the Middle East.

“We hope the public will attend the forum as some of the information might shock many of us,” he added.

Mukhriz, who is coordinator of the Peace Malaysia Foundation, said Dr Caldicott for instance, would give an update on tactical nuclear weapons.

“Being an expert in the field and as one of the world’s leading anti-nuclear activists, we can expect to hear and learn a lot from her on how nuclear weapons would decide a war and its effects on the world,” he added.

Mukhriz said everyone should attend the forum to show support towards the anti-war effort.

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is chairman of the Perdana Global Peace Foundation will deliver the keynote address at the forum.

Admission is free. For details and the registration form, visit www.perdana4peace.org
