The U.S. president will be officially sworn in on Jan. 20, 2025 and begin his term in office.
Donald Trump’s “Inauguration Day” will look like this:
The day will start for Trump with a church service at Saint John’s Church. This is a Protestant Episcopal church also known as “The Church of the Presidents”.
After this church service, Donald Trump and his wife Melania will be met by current President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden at the White House. There, the Bidens will welcome the brand-new presidential couple to their new home.
Around 10:45 a.m. local time, inauguration guests will arrive. Then the official ceremony will take place. Several musicians will provide musical accompaniment to this historic moment.
Donald Trump and incoming Vice President J.D. Vance will then officially assume power in Washington D.C. at noon sharp, as stipulated in the U.S. Constitution. As of that moment, therefore, Trump is officially President of the United States once again.
