Constitutional Crisis in America: What Will Be The Final Outcome of the U.S. Presidential Elections?
Global Research News Hour Episode 164
“If this would’ve occurred anywhere else outside the United States, and a country would’ve said “Yes, we have private companies. They secretly program these computers and we don’t have any paper in them, so we can’t recount” they would have been mocked… Our Secretary of State and our government … would have pressured them into holding a new election.” – Bob Fitrakis
“The various ways in which usually anonymous spokespeople for U.S. intelligence agencies are equivocating – saying things like “our best guess” or “our opinion” or “our estimate” etc. – shows that the emails alleged to have been “hacked” cannot be traced across the network. Given NSA’s extensive trace capability, we conclude that DNC and HRC servers alleged to have been hacked were, in fact, not hacked.” – Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS)

Uncertainty has emerged around the outcome of the U.S. Presidential elections.
The Green Party Presidential candidate raised millions of dollars in a failed bid to recount ballots in three states narrowly won by Donald Trump. The Russians have been blamed for hacking into the U.S. Electoral system in a way that favoured the Republican candidate. In the lead up to the official count at the Electoral college there are calls to delay the vote until the College voters have been briefed.
And now, in his final press conference of the year, outgoing President Barrack Obama has formally accused Russia of interfering in the election on behalf of Trump.
This week’s Global Research News Hour attempts to assess the evidence of election rigging, the claim that Russia was involved, and what all this uncertainty may mean for the stability of the incoming administration.
Our first guest, Bob Fitrakis, is a political science professor at Columbus State Community College, editor of the Columbus Free Press, and the Green Party’s candidate for County Prosecutor in Franklin County. He exposed election rigging in the 2004 U.S. election in Ohio. He speaks about the recount effort and what it revealed.
Debbie Lusignan, aka, Sane Progressive, has been blogging and speaking online about election rigging since the beginning of the Democratic primaries. She speaks to the Global Research News Hour about the myths and realities of election rigging and Russian involvement, media coverage and the obstacles to addressing political questions of this magnitude in a logical way.
Finally, Professor Michel Chossudovsky is Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of Ottawa and the founder and editor of Global Research. The award-winning author looks ahead to the Electoral College vote and places the uncertainty around the election result in a broader context of an elite power struggle.
