Three distinguished Global Research Authors nominated for Prestigious Media Award

Sara Flounders,  Michael Hudson and Andrew Hughes were nominated for the Project Censored Award, Sonoma State University, California, School of Journalism. 

They were selected as finalists for the Project Censored “Most Censored” News Stories of 2008-9 Awards. Over 250 faculty and students at Sonoma State University reviewed several hundred submissions. The top twenty-five stories have been forwarded to the Project Censored  national judges for final ranking.

A synopsis of the top 25 stories will appear in Chapter 1 of the book Censored 2010: Media Democracy in Action, scheduled for release in October from Seven Stories Press.

Project Censored staff, faculty and students, have acknowledged our authors for their “courage and professionalism in investigative reporting”. On behalf of the Global Research team, we wish to thank our three distinguished authors for their outstanding writings.

Last year four Global  Research authors including Michel Chossudovsky, F. William Engdahl, Connie Fogal and Stephen Lendman were nominated for the 2009 Project Censored Award.

In December of last year Global Research and Michel Chossudovsky were granted the First Prize of the Mexican Club of Journalists, for the best research site at an international level.
